Camp Director- Tamar Hill

​Tamar Hill is the director and founder of Spartan Allstars.  She is a graduate of Palo Alto High School and Occidental College. After earning a Master's degree at Oxy, she was hired by La Canada High School where she taught Biology for 16 years.  In addition to teaching, she coached the Girls Varsity Basketball team for 14 seasons, spent 2 years as the ASB Advisor and 3 years as the Athletic Director.  Hill worked for four summers at Birchmont, a sleep-away sports camp in New Hampshire.  She plans on drawing upon her experiences to construct a dynamic and memorable summer for Spartan Allstars campers.


Spartan Allstars was founded 21 years ago as a girls basketball camp and then eight years ago it was transitioned into an all day coed sports camp.  The camp became was a hit and quickly grew into the most popular sports camp in Southern California!

Tennis Pro- Will Moravec

Coach Will Moravec grew up in Southern California playing tennis and played for Long Beach State.  During his senior year Will played number 2 singles and was ranked 36 in the nation in doubles with his partner Pat Crow. Will then played professional tennis throughout the US, India and Italy before returning to Long Beach State to be their Mens Assistant Coach during the 89-90 season. Will then entered the Private sector becoming the Head Tennis Director for the La Canada Flintridge Country Club for 20 years running their tournaments and tennis lesson programs. Will is the varsity coach for the La Canada High Girls and Boys tennis teams and has coached CIF Champs as well as college and Jr. College players.

Asst Director- Sarah Beattie

Sarah Beattie is a graduate of the University Of Wisconsin-Madison and recently completed her Teaching Credential and Masters in Education from Azusa Pacific University. She played basketball at La Canada High School from 2000-2004, was the Girls Varsity Head Coach for 3 seasons and now serves as the schools' ASB Advisor. She has worked for Coach Hill's basketball camps as a counselor and has served as the Assistant Camp director since the Sports Day Camp inception.

​Trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with the Gracie Family and still active in competitions today.
